Not every blonde college girl is out there partying every weekend. It is about time the boring ones get some attention too.

Workin' 9 to 5
Okay, so I am interning at my dad's vaccine company this summer. I am a lab assistant basically. When you get a job mainly on the fact that your father is high up in the company, people somehow seem to ignore the fact that you are extremely under qualified for the job. I assure you, I made it very obvious that I know nothing, I am not a scientist whatsoever. I sort of know anatomy and athletic training sorts of things, but not any chemistry past general chemistry. I started work last week, on Thursday my supervisor came over with a 40 page packet about DLS (dynamic light scattering) and told me to read it. She said "It's just your basic physical chemistry... You've taken physical chemistry right?" I just shook my head sheepishly. I "read" the packet.. aka I looked at a bunch of squiggly symbols and googled a lot of big words. Today I was asked to scan a packet of papers for my other supervisor, I was happy because I knew this was something that I could do. I scanned everything and then came back to my desk only to realize I put the papers in the wrong way and scanned the blank back of every page. I just smacked my head on my desk, then got back up and scanned the pages properly. Luckily I am getting better at the experiments in the lab, I am slowly being allowed to run them by myself with no supervision. I feel like I am on CSI most of the time, I pretend that the experiments are to catch a killer. Makes it a bit more exciting.
